A Vermont Octoberfest with The Trapp Family Lodge and Elisabeth Von Trapp

Join us for a fabulous Vermont Octoberfest Getaway.  Our three-night package will take place on the shores of Lake Champlain in Burlington, VT with accommodations at a variety of hotels including the Doubletree, Comfort Inn and Suites and the Holiday Inn Express.  Your group will enjoy the beautiful Green Mountains and Lake Champlain while visiting several of Vermont’s wonderful attractions.  Highlights of this tour include a night of music with Elisabeth Von Trapp of the famous Trapp Family and a German Octoberfest Dinner Cruise on Lake Champlain.

Day One

Group arrival at your hotel located in Vermont’s largest city, Burlington.  Upon arrival your group will be greeted by our local guides and mingle at a Welcome Reception.  A delicious dinner will be served this evening.  (D)

Day Two

A hearty breakfast is included this morning at your hotel.  Today we travel to the Rock of Ages Granite Quarry where we enjoy a guided tour of the largest granite quarry in New England.  Our next stop takes us to Montpelier (Vermont’s State Capital) where you will have time for lunch and shopping on your own.  This afternoon we visit the Morse Sugar Farm where we learn about maple sugaring followed by a traditional sugar-on-snow. This evening we travel to Lake Champlain where we will board the Spirit of Ethan Allen for a sunset dinner cruise featuring an evening German Cuisine and Music.  (B, Dinner Cruise)

Day Three

Breakfast is included this morning at the hotel.  Today we travel to the Cold Hollow Cider Mill where you will see the production of their delicious cider and have the opportunity to sample many of their fine apple products.  Our next stop takes us to the Cabot Cheese and Lake Champlain Chocolate Annex.  Next we travel to the Trapp Family Lodge where we will enjoy an Austrian Lunch served in the Main Dining Room accompanied by live music.  Feel free to visit the Gift Shop and explore the grounds after lunch. A fabulous dinner is served at the hotel followed by an evening of music with Elisabeth Von Trapp of the Trapp Family.  (B,D)

Day Four

Breakfast is included this morning at the hotel before departing for home with many fond memories of Octoberfest in Vermont.  (B)
